What Makes a Trained Leader?

A leader is considered "Trained" when he or she has completed the four main trainings that make up the "Basic Leader Training" continuum: Youth Protection, Fast Start, This is Scouting and Leader Specific Training.

Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster

  • Youth Protection Training
  • This is Scouting
  • Boy Scout Leader Specific
  • Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills

Boy Scout Committee Member

  • Youth Protection Training
  • This is Scouting
  • Boy Scout Committee Challenge (you can substitute Boy Scout Leader Specific training)

Varsity Scout Leaders and Assistants

  • This is Scouting
  • Varsity Scout Leader Specific Training
  • Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills
