The Mid-America Council has reservations for a council contingent to Philmont in 2014. We are approved to fill 10 crews of 12 participants (minimum 2 adults, maximum 4): June 16-28, 2014.
Minimum age: Philmont requires that all youth must be 14 years of age OR 13 years of age and have completed the 8th grade. NO EXCEPTIONS. Philmont has maximum height/weight ratio requirements to insure that participants are physically capable of the expedition. These are backpacking expeditions on the Philmont Ranch for 12 days. The total fee for the Philmont expedition trek is $825. This preliminary application must be accompanied with a $125 deposit (due April 22, 2013), the following payments will be due: $350 per person due on September 1, 2013, and $350 per person due on February 1, 2014. Fees are non-refundable. Additional costs are required to cover the travel and trip activities while traveling to and from Philmont.
For those selected, further instructions will be mailed June 2013. Selected participants will not receive a refund after that date. Those not selected will be refunded their full $125 deposit. |
