 National Outdoor Badges
The National Outdoor Badge (No. 430-509) recognizes Boy Scouts/Varsity Scouts who have exemplary knowledge and experience in performing high-level outdoor activities. The award consists of five areas of emphasis (Riding, Hiking, Camping, Aquatics, and Adventure) with rigorous requirements to earn each segment.

 Instilling values in young people and preparing them to make ethical choices throughout their lifetime is the mission of the Boy Scouts of America. Leave No Trace helps reinforce that mission, and reminds us to respect the rights of other users of the outdoors as well as future generations.
