Membership Recruiting Plan
- Recruiting events should be 60 minutes or less. You can recruit right to your regular meeting, or even better, hold a special event focusing on new recruits.
- Be sure that each person, youth and adult, submits an application and membership dues. If new parents sign up at the same time as their Scout, they are more likely to be involved later on.
- Be sure to turn in applications and funds to the district representative before the recruitment event is over.
- Provide a 30 minute activity for youth. This gives you time to talk to the parents about their expectations of joining Scouts.
- Provide a calendar of events so everyone knows what is upcoming. You should have several events planned out in advance.
- Don't forget to sign every application.
