Scott Thomas Hanson is a Director of Camping Services with the Boy Scouts of America, Mid-America Council. In this role, Scott oversees weekend & summer camping operations at Covered Wagon Scout Ranch, Little Lioux Scout Ranch, and Wa-kon-da including the development & implementation of new programs. Staff assignments include Camping & Outdoor Program Committee, Campmaster Corps, Order of the Arrow, Nani-Ba-Zhu.
In 2002, Scott attained his Bachelors Degree majoring in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Scott has been with the Council since 2013 as a Director of Camping Services. Prior to starting with the Council, Scott was a Philmont Staff member and was with Daniel Webster Council (DE, SDE, Cub Resident Camp Director), Del-Mar-Va Council (Council Program Director, Boy Scout Resident Camp Director), Baltimore Area Council (Finance Director, Field Director), many functional assignments. Scott is an Eagle Scout, received Vigil Honor is a James E West Fellow and is Wood Badge trained.
