Chris Troendle
Ohwahnasee District Executive
(563) 419-4158

Chris Troendle was born in the far north east corner of Iowa in the city of Lansing. He was very active in sports, hunting and fishing. Chris was a Boy Scout and achieved his Eagle Scout in the early nineties. After graduating high school he went to Saint Mary’s University and graduated with a degree in Environmental Biology and Graphic Design. He worked as an archeological consultant for ten years and decided he needed to give back to society and joined the Peace Corps. While working in Africa he met his wife and returned to the U.S. to seek his Master’s degree. He achieved his degree in International Development at Clark University with honors. He specialized in program management and food security. Shortly after graduating he worked as a consultant for numerous international agencies such as the Unicef, CRS, USAID… In 2011 he and his wife wanted to start a family and he soon became the Director of Conservation and Land Management at Whiterock Conservancy in Coon Rapids, Iowa where they still reside.

Chris enjoyed his job but he had always remembered the difference that being a Boy Scout meant to him. When the position of District Executive came open he jumped on it! Chris and his family are looking forward to this new adventure in life and he is very excited that he will be able to continue giving back to an organization and community of great people.
