Luke McNeese
Black Hawk District Director

Luke McNeese is the Black Hawk District Director. His focus will be cultivating future partners for various Scouting units; promoting the programs to other organizations, key businesses, key and influential individuals, and the general public Luke will be an asset in recruiting manpower and growing the district. His knowledge in program will strengthen the unparalleled experience Black Hawk offers their youth and volunteers in the district.

Luke McNeese grew up in Greeneville, TN in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, and has a Computer Science degree from Tennessee Technological University in 2010. Growing up in a Scouting family Luke received his Arrow of Light, Eagle Scout and is Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow. He was a Canoe Guide for three summers in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and Quetico Provincial Park at the Northern Tier National High Adventure Base.

Luke started as a District Executive for the Chippewa Valley Council in April, 2011. Luke met his wife Shelby at professional Scouting training in Irving, TX and were married in July of 2014. Luke has completed Wood Badge, Powderhorn, National Leadership Seminar, National Lodge Advisor Training Seminar, Philmont District Key 3 Training, and National Camp School - Administration. As a District Executive in Chippewa Valley, his district achieved 5 straight years of membership growth coupled with the Gold JTE for each of those years. Luke shares his passion with the Scouting program with all that he interacts with. In his spare time he is an active Rotarian and likes to listen to live music, and experience the outdoors, hiking, biking, and paddling.
