Effective May 1, 2016, all advancement reporting in Mid-America Council will be using Internet Advancement.
This system allows units to report advancements electronically and directly into the BSA system. Scoutbook, Packmaster, Troopmaster, and other online software are invaluable unit management tools. Internet Advancement is not a replacement for them, but rather is a tool to facilitate communication to the National BSA database.
Why use Internet Advancement?
To use Internet Advancement:
- Select the unit advancement processor. This person must have Internet connectivity.
- Gather information for advancement including Scout’s name, item earned, and date completed.
- Click on the "Login" button on this page. Follow the instructions in Internet Advancement to process advancements and print an advancement report.
- Have the appropriate people sign the printed unit advancement report. You must turn in an advancement copy to the council office (Scout Shop) when you purchase advancements (badges of rank and merit badges). Save a copy for your files.
Upload a PackMaster or TroopMaster roster to BSA Internet Advancement
Units should submit monthly reports before the end of each month, or more often if needed. In December, submit a report before the end of the month to update your unit and council statistics.

If your unit has not logged on or switched advancement processors, you may need to have your password reset. Please call Scouter Services at 402.431.9BSA (402.431.9272) to reset your password or for additional questions.
