Tri-State High Adventure Base
Canoe the Missouri River from Vermillion, South Dakota to downtown Omaha, Nebraska, landing in 3 states along the way, covering over 160 miles. Treks visit State Parks and cities, camp in a mix of urban and rural settings, climb a 40-foot rock wall, visit historical sights, and work on the Kodiak Challenge. T-SHAB is High Adventure in your back yard!
BSA National High Adventure Bases
The Mid-America Council is dedicated to ensuring that every youth has an opportunity to attend a BSA High Adventure Base. Some are provided through a “contingent” experience, which means that the trip is organized through a committee of volunteers in the Mid-America Council and may contain Scouts and adults from all over the council. Contingents are offered to 3 of the 4 bases each year.
